About

Ross Clark has published 3 earlier volumes of poetry and 3 chapbooks. The work showcased there, and in other publications and performances, could in fact be the production of several poets. One is the haiku poet, gradually building an international reputation; another is the lyric poet of modern life in city and country; another is the narrative poet currently working in ballad and epic forms, telling tales of modern love and ancient journeys; yet another is the chronicler of the attitudes and vicissitudes of youth (Clark has taught for the duration of a life sentence in the secondary classrooms of the Sunshine State); and there is a quiet experimentalist at work as well.

Wishbones & Windfalls is by turns loud and soft, rude and religious, sensitive and scandalous, narrative and gnomic, confessional and contemplative, and much else besides. It is and isn't about birds and fish and flying and exploring and every day after every other day. It is poetry to be shouted to the bluest of skies.
