Always Believe Your Grandfather presents snapshots about the life of Frank Moon (1880-1967). The book has its origins in childhood stories told by Frank Moon, the author’s grandfather, about discovering rare marsupial 'rhinoceros' and 'lion' bones in the Buchan district cave network, being wounded inWW1, knowing Flynn of the Inland and risky cave explorations.
Brian Hansford was born in Buchan and attended Buchan State School. He completed Bachelors degrees in Commerce and Education (Melbourne), a Masters degree in Administration (Calgary) and Doctor of Philosophy (New England). He taught at Bairnsdale and Foster High Schools, in Australian and North American universities and has published many journal articles, book chapters and books and is an Emeritus Professor of Queensland University of Technology.
