| About Reviews Extract |
REMIX: poems ancient & modern contains poems from several earlier volumes, with recent work and pieces from Clark's dynamic performances. It's a book to carry around, to open often; there's a different sky on every page.

In those quiet moments
when I sit patiently
in a wooden dingy with
a rod over the side, and know that I will
catch a few this evening,
though the air is dark,
and the water is dark, Ifeel an understanding
of the ways of God,
letting out a peaceful line
to draw us to a deathabove, on a ground
we are ignorant of
hungry mouths grasping
the flesh-baited cross.
